About Katie

I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist after completion of the Postgraduate Diploma at City University in London. Prior to this, I completed an undergraduate degree in Fine Art from a university in Portland, Oregon, United States. I enjoy integrating my art skills into therapy sessions to make them interactive and fun.

I have experience of working with a range of clients with varying difficulties such as autistic spectrum disorder, phonological and speech sound difficulties, language delays and disorders, learning disabilities and physical and sensory needs.

I am very passionate about the individual ways in which we all communicate and I am dedicated to optimising those skills in order to provide a good quality of life. I value working in partnership with parents, carers, teaching staff and other professionals because I believe it is essential for enabling the client to meet their full potential.

Over the next year I will be completing an MSc, where I am gathering speech data and analyzing patterns in order to contribute to the field of phonological and speech sound disorders.
